Take a deep dive into poetry during Words on Water

Confluence Words on Water program offers a feast of poetry from Australia, Malaysia and India.

The program features acclaimed Indian poet Arundhathi Subramaniam who has been recognised with numerous awards for her poetry including the Zee Women’s Award for Literature. Her most recent book of poetry is Love Without a Story.

Arundhathi will be joined on the program by performance poet Melizarani T. Selva whose first book titled Taboo made the Top 10 Bestseller List on Malaysia’s number one online bookstore MPH; Perth-based spoken word poet, performer and playwright Sukhjit Kaur Khalsa whose debut theatre production, Fully Sikh  premiered with Black Swan and Barking Gecko Theatre Companies this year; and award-winning Arab-Australian poet, writer and editor Omar Sakr. Omar’s debut collection, These Wild Houses was shortlisted for the Kenneth Slessor Prize and the Judith Wright Poetry Prize.
